An official ceremony was held at BICEC Head office in Douala-Bonanjo, in the presence of Mr. Kamal MOKDAD, General Manager of BCP and International, Mr. Jean-Baptiste BOKAM, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Rochdi SANHAJI, new General Manager of BICEC.


Mr. Alain RIPERT promoted to BICEC’s Board of Directors and as Member of the Executive Board of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, in charge of the Overseas Pole

Following BICEC 23rd March 2018 General Assembly in Douala, Mr. Alain RIPERT, General Manager of BICEC, was promoted to BICEC’s Board of Directors.

On 30th March 2018 in Marseille, Mr. Alain RIPERT was also appointed Member of the Executive Board of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC in charge of the Overseas Pole. As from September 2018, he will hold both positions: as member of BICEC’s Board of Director and member of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC’s Executive Board.


BICEC wins Cameroon “Bank of the Year 2017”

On February 24, BICEC was awarded the Bank of the Year trophy during “LES TROPHEES DE ZOE”, a ceremony organized by Algoo International. This company specializes in analyzing marketing tools and conducting real time public surveys.

Mr. Jean Baptiste BOKAM, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BICEC, and Mr. Alain RIPERT, General Manager, firmly deny the allegations published in the newspaper “Le Jour” on Monday, November 27, 2017.

BICEC wishes to reassure its partners and customers: Mr. Alain RIPERT has not resigned as General Manager. No resignation letter has been submitted and no Board of Directors’ meeting was held on November 4, 2017.Mr. Alain RIPERT is still on active duty as General Manager.

PHISHING ALERT: IT System Fraud - fraudulent e-mail

It has come to BICEC’s attention that fraudsters have been trying to dupe web users via a fraudulent e-mail that appears to be from your bank. Such an e-mail is enticing our clients to click on a malicious link, under the pretext of updating their personal information on our database (bank account, card and secret code numbers).


False recruitment information
Douala, 05 April 2017

In the past several days, false recruitment information allegedly posted by BICEC has been circulating on social media (Facebook, Whatsapp…) and other job search sites. BICEC hereby disassociates itself from such false information and informs public opinion that no recruitment exercise is ongoing at BICEC.


Signature of the BICEC-PROPARCO convention: 26.2 billion CFA francs to support cameroonian companies

On the 18 December , PROPARCO, a subsidiary of the French Development Agency (AFD) dedicated to financing the private sector, has granted a credit line of EUR 40 million (26.2 billion CFA FRANCS) to BICEC, in order to support actors of the local economy.

Considering the prominent role of culture in the development of Cameroon, BICEC showcases cameroonian art in its diversity and richness. By its annual  plastic arts competition, young cameroonians are given the opportunity to publicize their talent through the institution.
